I would use this as a Halloween book。 Just because it is funny in a scary kind of way。 I would ask how do you think the carrots felt? Do carrots feel i n real life? What do we call it when inanimate objects are given human like attributes? Some vocab building。 Telling real from fantasy, I would have them create their own story with anthropomorphize charters。 Like the movie beauty and the beast。 The media is pencil and paper with orange color added with a computer。 This is the only book I have re I would use this as a Halloween book。 Just because it is funny in a scary kind of way。 I would ask how do you think the carrots felt? The illustrations were nice and attractive and appropriate。This picture book is really made by its illustrations。 Which are quitebeautiful in a way。This would be a good Halloween book。The plot was quite clever and different in a way。I thought the picture book was good butnot absolutely great。 Children in generalwould really enjoy this book。
Kate,
I really liked this book, but it was primarily because it reminded me of a story my older brother made up and told me when I was a young child。
Emily Douglas,
Great twist at the ending and I really liked the illustrations。

"Creepy Carrots!" is a book about a bunny who absolutely loves carrots。 He goes to the same field everyday and picks some carrots for a snack but the carrots don't like this。 The carrots end up following him and haunting him so he goes on and builds walls around this field and the carrots party because they are so happy that the bunny will finally leave them and their friends alone。I gave this book a 5 star rating because its a cute and funny book for kids to read。 A good book to practice readin "Creepy Carrots!" is a book about a bunny who absolutely loves carrots。 He goes to the same field everyday and picks some carrots for a snack but the carrots don't like this。 The carrots end up following him and haunting him so he goes on and builds walls around this field and the carrots party because they are so happy that the bunny will finally leave them and their friends alone。I gave this book a 5 star rating because its a cute and funny book for kids to read。 A good book to practice reading out loud and learning new vocabulary。 Maybe this book will even teach them to eat more than just one food。 。。。more

2。5 out of 5Creepy Carrots! is a spooky and entertaining picturebook about a rabbit who may or may not be stalked by his favorite snack。It's a cute story, but for some reason it failed to charm me。 I don’t know, maybe the rabbits were too human for my liking。。。Anyhow, the authors did a great job portraying childhood fears。Also, I liked some interesting phrases: “Later that night, as Jasper lay in bed, he heard it。Breathing。Terrible, carroty breathing。”

This is a very funny, yet spooky book for children! With fun voices it can be very entertaining, especially around Halloween time! Enjoy reading about how Jasper Rabbit cannot get enough carrots, so much that the carrots actually start following him!

"Creepy Carrots!" is a picture story book about Jasper Rabbit。 Jasper Rabbit loves carrots, especially carrots in Crackenhooper Field。 He loved eating these carrots on the way to school, on the way to baseball practice, etc。 He couldn't get enough of them, until one night he noticed something strange。 After his baseball game, he stopped at Crackenhooper Field like usual, but this time the carrots followed him home。 While he was brushing his teeth, he started seeing creepy carrots。 Then he saw th "Creepy Carrots!" is a picture story book about Jasper Rabbit。 Jasper Rabbit loves carrots, especially carrots in Crackenhooper Field。 He loved eating these carrots on the way to school, on the way to baseball practice, etc。 He couldn't get enough of them, until one night he noticed something strange。 After his baseball game, he stopped at Crackenhooper Field like usual, but this time the carrots followed him home。 While he was brushing his teeth, he started seeing creepy carrots。 Then he saw them on his walls, his closet, in his yard, in his shed, everywhere。 Jasper decided to build a fence and a moat around the field so they couldn't escape and follow him home。 Whenever night came, all the carrots starting cheering because their plan worked。 Jasper Rabbit would never come into their field again。 The illustrations in this book have a very Halloween feel to them。 Everything is mostly black, orange, and gray with creepy shadows。 The images fit and enhance the story great。 I think this book would be appropriate for 3rd-6th grade depending on the individual reading level on the students。 It could be too mature and scary for some 3rd graders, but some could for sure handle it and enjoy it。 。。。more

Falling squarely in the "vegetables have feelings" camp is this twisted tale of (mild) horror about a rabbit and his veggie victims。 Jasper Rabbit loves to eat carrots。。。 but do those carrots love to be eaten? Creepy Carrots is a great Halloween read for young readers as it is just scary enough for entertainment but not too scary for children。 This story puts a fun twist on the philosophy: too much of a good thing can become a bad thing。 Jasper, the main character, finds a way to put the "good thing gone bad" (the carrots) back into is control。 This can be a great book for around the holiday, while still teaching the reader a valuable life lesson。 Creepy Carrots is a great Halloween read for young readers as it is just scary enough for entertainment but not too scary for children。 This story puts a fun twist on the philosophy: too much of a good thing can become a bad thing。 Jasper, the main character, finds a way to put the "good thing gone bad" (the carrots) back into is control。 This can be a great book for around the holiday, while still teaching the reader a valuable life lesson。 。。。more

Great Book!(Silas’s review): I love the illustrations。 It’s awesome。 The artist is a great person。 I think everyone should read this book。 It makes me want to eat some carrots。

I really enjoyed this book。 I think this is a great picture book that contains a little bit of thrill that is often not present in picture books, but yet is age-appropriate for students。 The students will be on the edge of their seats while reading this book。 This book also contains some humorous elements, which are always class favorites。 I think this book could also serve as a fun little read aloud。

Jasper loves snacking from a carrot patch throughout the day, until he begins noticing carrot shaped shadows all around him。。。 Creepy Carrots is a comical read for youngsters that provides a fun plot twist at the end。 Overall, I found it to be an entertaining book that would be especially fun around Halloween time。 However, I do not find it as educationally valuable as many other Halloween options。 This book would be spectacular for a read aloud and maybe a craft。 There would be potential to use Jasper loves snacking from a carrot patch throughout the day, until he begins noticing carrot shaped shadows all around him。。。 Creepy Carrots is a comical read for youngsters that provides a fun plot twist at the end。 Overall, I found it to be an entertaining book that would be especially fun around Halloween time。 However, I do not find it as educationally valuable as many other Halloween options。 This book would be spectacular for a read aloud and maybe a craft。 There would be potential to use this story for diving into setting and conflict, but I cannot see it being used much beyond that。 I also have to question if all students in say, a Kindergarten classroom, would understand the twist at the end。 Nonetheless, it is a fun read! 。。。more
